InAWH CEO, Paula Schneider, Quoted in STAT

On October 1st, 2026, CEO of InAWH, Paula Schneider, was quoted in STAT’s article on the special issue of Science Magazine covering women’s health. Paula spoke with Annalisa Merelli about the gap between between the knowledge science produces and the care women are receiving. Here’s an excerpt:

“Research is only half the equation. Even the evidence we already have on women’s midlife health too often doesn’t make it into clinical practice,” she said. “We need to close the gap between what’s known and what’s done, so that as discoveries like these arrive, women know what to ask, doctors know how to answer, and the system knows what to do next.”
